Academic/Schooling Support

For students from disadvantaged backgrounds. LA Assist can be a platform where you can receive support and advice on academic or schooling related concerns. What subject combination should I take to pursue a certain career path? How do I balance my CCAs and academics? What is the application process for overseas universities? We are here to help. For those applying for university, we will provide LA Apply’s services free of charge as well.

Direction to a situation-specific resources

If you are looking for resources to ease your current financial/personal situation, you’ve come to the right place. After assessing your personal circumstances and financial status, LA Assist will help you collate every resource available to you- both public and private sector resources. This may include governmental aid/welfare programs such as free healthcare schemes or career mentorship initiatives from our partner NGOs/Non-profit organisations.

Wellbeing and Wellness Support

Its easy to feel overwhelmed, stressed and undervalued. Especially with the advent of social media, people are ironically more connected yet more distant. Life seems to move at an unforgiving pace. LA Assist understands this, and strives to lend a listening ear and a comforting voice to all. We can also direct you to resources which help you manage stress, live a healthier lifestyle or even recommend some free, fun events around Singapore to bring your family and loved ones.

LA Apply Complimentary Career Support

For those who are deemed eligible, we will provide LA Apply’s flagship career support services free of charge. This may include complimentary CV reviews, edits and creation in addition to free technical/personal interview coaching depending on industry. We can also be a sounding board for any career choices or business ideas you may want to undertake.

We strive to create a safe, calm and non-judgmental space for all to share their troubles, vent frustrations and seek comfort. You don’t have to have a problem to speak to us. To this end, you have our reassurance that all conversations will remain confidential, unless in specific, extenuating circumstances** which are objectively deemed as threatening or in the case of governmental intervention.
